oppo 980 screen goes blank for seconds

I was trying my new oppo 980 last night and noticed periodically the screen went blank and no audio. The disk is still playing in the machine during this time it had not stopped playing. Any ideas?

Are you running the latest firmware?

This doesn't mean you have the latest firmware, check which version you have- no disc press osd then check on Oppo site (or crtprojectors) to see if there's a later one available.

It has the latest firmware 0722

Does it do this on more than one disc? Was the disc you noticed it on Pal or NTSC? I have my 983 set to auto for playing pal and ntsc discs.
