Possible to play divx/xvid from dvd+-R/RW??

Possible to play divx/xvid from dvd+-R/RW??
Is it possible to play a divx/xvid file on a dvd player from a dvd+-r/rw or does it have to be burned on a cd/cd-rw??

It may depend on the player but the divx compatible DVD players I've come across all play divx from DVD R/RW

If they're going to be picky about what media then DVD+RW is the one they're most likely to object to in my experience.

It should all be explained in the manual though.
