HD Audio Confusion.

Hi Guys

Can someone please put me out of my misery.

Does the Panasonic BD35 and the Sony S350 output all HD audio through Bistream?

Thanks in advance

Both excellent players a lot do give the nod to the Panasonic with DVD but to me anyway they seem very close.
35 can output NTSC DVD @ 1080p/24 not sure if you can make use of that at all?

Re: HD Audio Confusion.

OK cheers, I think I'm going to go with the Sony as there are some good deals on at the moment. As for the NTSC I have no use for it.
How you finding your Onkyo 876? I'm thinking of upgrading my 605. Is it worth it?

Re: HD Audio Confusion.

Sony forces 24p and is better built. 35 has DTS HD MA decoding and has 24p output for DVDs. Buy on price and features you need. Both are nice.

One thing I will add for the Panasonic is that it plays a wider range of discs than the Sony. I have both players and some DVDs that are not originals (i.e. family home videos converted to DVD) will not play on the Sony but they do play on my Panny. All-in-all, if I was buying just one player I would go for the Panny. Mine both came as package deals (bough a Sony LCD for upstairs and it came with a S350 and a Panasonic plasma for the living room came with a BD35).
