BUSH DVD-2023 doesn't remember settings

Unhappy BUSH DVD-2023 doesn't remember settings
We have a BUSH DVD-2023 which does not remember the video setting of 16:9 but reverts to 4:3 whenever the set is turned off.
Of course I always forget to set it until a DVD is playing and have to restart everything.
I would appreciate any help in the way to fix this.

jon i know its not what your after but i am thinking of buting one of these for the bedroom but my only prob is its region 2 do you now if there is a hack out there

hack for region 2?
Mine worked out of the box as multi-regional.
