Hello,

is this DVD player any good in terms up scalling to 720p/1080i.

It will be used with a Samsung LE32R87BDX.

What connection will produce the best picture, HDMI?

Are there any other similar DVD players which you would recommend instead of this?

I think it only upscales over HDMI connection so if upscaling is what you are after I think its the only connection you can use.

Don't have the F1080P but the 870HD which also upscales (to 720p and 1080i) and its far from perfect. All classic errors visible in DVD movies. They are both so cheap I suspect the F1080P cannot be much better. This is why I am ugrading to different make (and price level).
