Denon2800mk2 Pal/ntsc prog & multi R

Does anyone out there know if the Denon 2800mk2
can be programmed for

multi region
Pal progresive
Ntsc progresive

I have the first 2 ok , but Region1 ntsc discs have to be played interlaced.

Kind of annoying having to set the menu's all the time.

thanks......

I have and i know

but my question seems rather unusual in that i seem
to be asking the rare ability to use both pal & ntsc prog scan.
most users seem to want just pal.

There are technical related issues why you wouldnt want to play a region 1 decoded disk into a pal progressive display.

If a display's PAL progressive it's almost certainately going to be NTSC progressive these days.

For a guess your Denon is decoding the NTSC progressive video & converting it to PAL - which isn't desirable since you're not going to get NTSC progressive.

Denon advise that you press the "ntsc" button on your remote to get a pure progressive NTSC output (they replied in email to me and that's honestly what they said).

I didn't update mine for Multi-Region or PAL progressive due to the problems with the firmware compatibility so I'm not in the best position to stroll upstairs & start experimenting I'm afraid.

Perhaps somebody with a working Multi Region player can advise you better...
