If a display's PAL progressive it's almost certainately going to be NTSC progressive these days.
For a guess your Denon is decoding the NTSC progressive video & converting it to PAL - which isn't desirable since you're not going to get NTSC progressive.
Denon advise that you press the "ntsc" button on your remote to get a pure progressive NTSC output (they replied in email to me and that's honestly what they said).
I didn't update mine for Multi-Region or PAL progressive due to the problems with the firmware compatibility so I'm not in the best position to stroll upstairs & start experimenting I'm afraid.
Perhaps somebody with a working Multi Region player can advise you better...
