Asda LEDVD0802 £20 player with upscale. What is the brand??

Hello,

Bought this the other day for the kids to use, however I would also like to use my onkyo am remote to control it.

I am trying to find out the brand, tried a-z in the remote code book at the moment but not found anything other than Whafdale which does some odd things to the controls. i.e play is off etc...

On the box it says produced for Asda...

Does anyone know the brand so I can the code input rather than another few days of trying???

Thanks, I tried the codes for durabrand but nothing, gutted, tried a few more, 50 odd, still nothing, I'll just have to keep trying other codes..

On Wiki also tried these other brands (variations of Durabrand)
"Durabrand is chained with Lenoxx Sound, Alco, Funai (which would also include Emerson, Sylvania, and Symphonic), Orion, Maxell, Resonance, Initial Technology,"

But none of them worked...

Thanks guys, had a look in the remote control codes page, unfortunately there are no codes for Onn. I have done a web search and they are a part of a company called Vestel, (Looks like loads are, but I have not heard of them before)

Tried the Vestel code....and..... drum role please.... Didn't work,, if only the Onkyo remote could learn from others..

Hi, ASDA have a technical help line (0845 300 7775) for all their electrical products. Apparently they are pretty good aswell. You could try giving them a go, it might be quite a common question they get

Tried the Asda number, guy on the line was very helpful, well done to Asda there

Unfortunately though, the codes he had did not work, apparently its a new brand made by Asda... (it odd I thought, ) Although it has been manufactured by a brand Linment??? Never heard of them. And no codes for these in my handbook..

He suggested to wait a couple of months till the unit has been out for a while then there maybe some more does and to call them again or possible Onkyo.

Oh well, I will have to revert to using the dvd remote too, (which is awful)

i think the brand is a pacific because they have dvd player ledvd0701
