What writer have u got?

I have a sony dru500a and find the ritek 4x to be a good middle of the road media (bout £1.50 ish)

If U want some cheaper then u could try the new datawrite 4x yellow top (bout 99p) Sonys dont like this media !

But for reliability and a respected company u have to try the verbatrim 4x (£2.00) gr8 disc but not cheap. !The new 4x memorex is made by the same company that produces the verbs

If i was going to buy some then i would try the memorex 4x ,but dont buy too many of any dvd-r cos the market fluctuates daily .

And i am taking a shot that u will be burning home movies
