DivX on a DVD player.

What would companies have to do to upgrade their existing players to show DivX files? Is this a software or hardware change?

Kiss make a DVD player that plays back Divx (but there are several versions of Divx, so I wonder if it'll play if you playback a newer Divx 6, and the latest the Kiss supports is Divx 5?)

Sorry, what I was suggesting, albeit in a subtle way, could existing players be upgraded to play DivX files? If so is this a hardware or software upgrade?

Cheers
