Another question-Is the Toshiba Sd-330e an upscaling DVD player?

As the title says... I'm just wondering whether this upscales DVDs or not - it doesn't say on the casing or in the manual it does but it has got component connections on the back which gives the impression it does upscale... need some feedback on this...

Cheers

Jon

It's too old to do upscaling. Most players do not upscale through component and only do it through HDMI.

Oh ok... I'm guessing that the component simply gives it a better picture quality than through either standard component or scart or S-Video...

Thanks for your response...

What do you mean by standard component?

Component is often better than RGB scart and definity s video.

I'm referring to the standard yellow connection. This player also has red, blue and green component sockets... and then obviously the red and white phono connections which are used for the sound with either of the 2 video connection options....

On the 330E component is a big improvement on composite - I'm still getting excellent results from my machine, now relegated to the bedroom.
