Best SD DVD, progressive or upscaling, I should look for for under £60?

Best SD DVD, progressive or upscaling, I should look for for under £60?

as title really, will be our main DVD player, happy to search ebay etc for a decent one but thought there may be some bargains? any advice? will be going into a 1080p samsung 40"

Personally I went for a Sumvision Phoenix premium, but if my budget was up to £60 I would have gone for the phillips 5980. If you can stretch to £80 to £100 everyone here will tell you to get a Pioneer.

Thanks for the reply; i have just purchased a toshba HD DVD player, ep-30, as it was only £49.99 with 2 movies and it supposed to be a decent upscaler - seemed a no brainer?
