Cambridge Audio DVD99 Vs. Oppo 980h

They have more or less the same specs and share many components I believe.
Does anyone compare them? I have particularly interests in PQ over components.
Oppo has some issues playing PAL discs, what about CA?

I've heard of HDMI hand-shaking issues with the DVD99, but don't know anything specific about it.

Of the two, I'd choose the Oppo. Firmware updates from CA are practically non-existent.

But personally, I'd wait for the new Oppo.

you'll be waiting for the new 983 for a while I think - and it'll be expensive (260 plus I reckon)

pre-orders have been complete now and now you can't even order till April apparently ?

I may have a980H for sale too ...

great DVD player just don't have room for it + the PS3
