HELP. I have just connected my DVD 1940 to my new Panny 42PX70 via hdmi. Yesterday it worked fine. Today I tried to play a NTSC region 1 disk after installing the firmware upgrade from here at the weekend. There was no video, but I now see that this TV cannot display NTSC via HDMI!!! Now however no DVD's play and the HDMI led blinks on the DVD front panel. TV is blank with just the DVD input name in the top left of the screen. Any ideas. Also should the TV switch directly to DVD play back when I insert a disk as it does with SCART coz this does not happen either I have to manualy change the input.

Try pressing the HDMI button on the front panel - the firmware turns HDMI off - you just have to reselect the format you require. Pressing the button cycles through the options.
