qustion re: extended surround sound

i'll shortly be upgrading my receiver to a denon avr2802 / 3802 and wil obviously be taking advantage of the extended surround options it provides.

i currently have a toshiba sd100e which will probably be swapped for an sd220e at the same time as i buy the amp.

will the player output the relevant 6.1 signals to the amp so that i get the 6.1 ES modes, or will i need to look for a player that has onboard de-coding (i'm eventualy hoping to get a denon 2800 mk2)

Once you hook up a receiver to your DVD player (using coax or optical cable), the receiver does the decoding. That's the whole point
