Sony BDP-S1ES

I appreciate that this is a discontinued first generation player,but HiFi Confidential have them on sale for £450.
It appears to be a more substantially built machine than the replacement S300,and S500,models,and Sony are continuing to issue firmware updates for it.
So,does anyone have experience of the S1ES?
If so,what are the Player's strengths,and weaknesses?

I don't have one but it's a very well built piece of kit. Like most 1st gen players it's very slow when starting up and loading discs.

Interesting though to know if it's as slow as the S300 with Pirates of the Caribbean.

My local Sony shop had one for £399. I have the US version and it is very well built-not 1.3 though
