Denon DVD-3800BD - 24fps playback?

I know that this player is not due to hit our shores until early next year but I have found the following link to the Japanese site which is showing the specs. My Japanese is non existant (well in the world of AV anyway!) and I was wondering if anyone could decifer if this player supports 24fps playback from the spec. As far as I can see, it only supports 50/60hz - and I presume that this will not give 24fps - which I would like to take advantage of as my TV supports this and so does the PS3 I am currently feeding it with.

Hi mate
I wouldn't worry about the forthcoming Denon not supporting 24fps,without a shadow of a doubt it will.
Just because a player supports 50/60Hz does not mean it can't do 1080p/24 as well.
Here's something i found floating around.

If you look at the pdf files on the forthcoming Denon Blu-rays look for the section marked "advanced features" and amongst the Japanese text quite clearly visible is 1080p/24fps on both models so no worries there then.

Cheers guys - thanks for the input. I have been holding off buying anything other than my PS3 for BD playing until this comes out - then to my horror, I thought it did not supprt 24fps - which quite clearly it does now you have pointed this out.

I can't wait to get my hands on this BD player!!

Had A pioneer LX70A,the PQ was excellent but i was very disappointed with the build quality(plastic front),clunky noise when loading & searching,slow layer change on sd DVD,sluggish controls.
the pioneer did not feel it was worth 1k.
i hope Denon can do a better job plus it's all metal!!
