Upgrading from a Pioneer 717 to a 737?

Is it worthwhile upgrading my Pioneer 717 to a 737 or should I be looking elsewhere for a better upgrade? Budget is upto £400?

Thanks

Hi Dan,

How about the Pioneer 656A? It's had very good magazine reviews (and from a few folk on here too) with DVD-Audio and SACD. You should be able to pick a multi-region one up for about £330. Alternatively if you want progressive scan, you could get the Philips 963SA which just has SACD, not DVD-Audio. It should be about the same price as the Pioneer but is not easy to find at the moment Hope this helps.

Rob,

How much are you looking for for the 737?

Dan,

I'd take around £275 for it - 2 years old, boxed, no marks etc and not that much use. Gold, R2. Gives an excellent picture even on interlaced component into my Tosh RP TV.

Cheers
Rob.
