Dvd player with Divx playback from sd cards?

Question Dvd player with Divx playback from sd cards?
Hello,

Is there a player that supports playback of Divx from other media such as sd cards? I thought it would be useful for downloaded movies; quicker than burning to a disk? I know some players have a card slot but i think this ios just for viewing still photos from a camera, not films. Is this right?

I've had a read of the forum about Divx but the posts I found were from 2005 so I am guessing much has changed since then.
