Chroma Bug on my Gamecube?

Probably belongs in the Gaming Hardware, but not much chroma bug stuff there!

I use a Tosh 56who8 and get chroma bug on sky digital via rgb and when using dvd with some discs (toy story etc).

I recently purchased a gamecube and use it via component cable.

I just got Mario Sunshine and it is AWFUL. I couldnt believe it, it looked like I was watching any program on sky digital which featured alot of reds.

It is only really noticable on reds, but Mario himself is dressed in red. His hat looks really bad. Everything else looks fine tho, only the reds. You can't even see his hat clearly, its just looks a few lines and kind of pixelated.

As it looks exactly like the bug I see on sky digital and dvds like toy story, is this a chroma bug? Is this Because I am using the digital out component lead?
