HDMI or Component

I have just bought a mate's Toshiba SD-370E DVD Player and have hooked it up to my 26" HD LCD TV by component. I'm very pleased with the picture. Although the DVD Player seems to default to 1080i, I know the pic is actually 576p because the component doesn't upscale (right?).

I'm curious, is it worth me getting the HDMI lead and trying that. I know that many reviews say the Tosh isn't great at upscaling, but I would really welcome the opinion of other forum members.

Just took this quote from the tosh 370 thread

Also, have you noticed any lip synch problems running the sound through the amp?

Thanks
Just thought I'd answer this, as I have that LCD and today bought the 370.

I can confirm that you will get a nicer picture by using the upscaling options on the player. I was using component beforehand, (on a Sony DVD recorder) but the HDMI on the 370 at 720p is really much better. Less noise, more detail.

hope that helps
