Hi guys
I currently have a sagem 56" dlp rear projection tv, this is partnered with a pioneer 575 dvd player connected by a good quality component lead and set to prog scan.The tvs up scaler is a faroudja,so my question is, would i get any benefit from buying an oppo 981, or would i be better buying a cheaper dvd player with hdmi and letting the tv do the upscaling.If you think the latter, could you suggest a good player that would out perform the pioneer.
