Does anyone know if there are any ways (bar chip) to make the Sony DVPNS305 multi region? i.e. remote codes etc..

There is a remote code which you can programme into a learning remote (or a Palm if you have one), details of which can be found in this thread here

Alternatively, if you don't mind paying, you can "hire" a remote from a company called dvdchips (www.dvdchips.co.uk) which will effectively do the same thing.

I have NS 305 and learnign remote hack from remotecentral.com works well. It also works on some other sony players. It seems to only need it once, so beg or borrows a Pronto.
