Some Advice Please

Hey peeps. Seems you lot know a lot more about these things than me.

What I am wondering is I want a pretty decent upscaling DVD player which is multi region for about 150 quid. Any ideas?? The Toshiba SD 360E up to of this page is looking like a winner at the moment but anyone know if it is multi region

Cheers people

There's a hack readily available to make the SD360E multi region via it's remote.

Once you input the code via the remote the player will be able to play Region 1 (USA) discs period.

Marvelous scenes.

All I need now is to find out if it has optical output (DTS anyway) and then I will purchase.

Well I'm very pleased with it. I bought it as a budget player to give me 1080i via HDMI whilst waiting for the Hi-Def Format War to take some direction. With this in mind, I can't fault it.

yeah thats my plan too.

I ain't got a true HD TV anyway so 1080i is about the best I get anyway (not that that is a bad thing).

Well it is ordered now. Sorting out HDMI cables and an Optical splitter for two into one socket on 5.1 thingy but looking forward to it.

Thanks for the help matey
