Help with Panasonic SCHT990 dvd home cinema

I've just bought the Panasonic 42' TH42PX60 TV with Panasonic SCHT990 DVD Home Cinema system. Connected everything up and the surround sound works when playing a dvd. Just wondering if/how I can connect the home cinema up to my sky+ box. Pretty knew to this so need a bit of help

I may be wrong but I believe the scht880 does not have optical input. So I don't think you can connect your sky+ digitally and that means no Dolby Digital 5.1. However, you should be able to connect using the analog input and let the scht880 to decode it using Pro-logic II. Either connect your tv's audio out directly to your scht880 or from your sky+ box direct.

Try look at the All-in-one section of this forum. Not many cheapish current model of all-in-one has separate digital in. I think by far the sony htddw880, yamaha av59 and sony htsf1000 (without dvd) have the biggest following.
