Could someone let me know the firmware version for the fmj27, I'm using 1.78 and was under the impression it had increased to 1.79, if so where can I obtain it.

cheers

1.79 is the latest. Your dealer can upgrade it for you or contact Arcam directly.

There was a copy of it available on the internet but you would need to burn that onto a CD first.

Best let your dealer do it as they should be able to fix it if something goes wrong.

I did the same upgrade recently, my local dealer didn't have the discs needed so I contacted Arcam and within two days (and that was out to Germany) I had the discs through the post.

The upgrade procedure was fully described and straightforward.

Hope this helps,

Dave.

Hi,

Must admit that I did not notice any real differences.

There was a list that came with the upgrade which was the same one shown on :

http://www.envytech.co.uk/dv88/#general-comparison

Which is a great site if you don't know it. They say:

Improved firmware upgrade method (CD now requires CRC.txt to check integrity of dvd8.bin)
New PLL compatibility setting for progressive scan board
Small fault in OSD fixed

Hope this helps,

Dave.
