SD220E vs SD100E

Dear all,

I am currently using a Toshiba SD100E with a Sanyo PLV 30 projector connected via s-video.
Having read the numerous threads recommending the SD220E, I am considering buying one mainly for its component outputs.
Question is will a 220 via component be a significant improvement on a 100E via S Video. I do not want to lose any sound quality either , be it on DVD or CD playback.
Pennies are tight at the mo so I couldn't really afford to pay any more for anything else right now

Any thoughts appreciated.

Steve
