no picture

i have a sony ns705v connected to my aldi lcd via scart,and the players output set to rgb.up to now its played everything fine.just tried to watch 'war of the worlds',tom cruise one,and no picture on the movie.i have sound,the menu's are visible but when the movie starts just a black screen.
why?

Can you try the player on a different screen ,this way you can tell if the player or screen is at fault .Sorry cant be of more help but this seems like a bit of a strange one .

have u got the scart lead pushed in properly it happened to me once i could hear the sound and when i pushed the scart into it properly the picture came on.
failing this either a setting is wrong or the panels wrong.
im sorry too i cannot help further.

Do all your other movies play fine?? If so then get a refund on the disc.

i
hi all,its not the one disc though.i have just been to asda and bought ice age 2 and that has sound but no picture,and the same for house of flyin daggers.
its doin mi ead in

Hey Mick

Just had a thought, dont know if it relevent bearing mind some of your discs worked.
But the disc that I gave it a test with was my Versus DVD (Which was still in it) which I have just thought, is All Region NTSC.

I presume I had the machine set to NTSC video output for this to work.
While I guess you may have found this out and changed it, it is the only thing I can think at the mo. If youhavent then change that setting and try those discs.

Still lookin though!
