Harman Kardon DVD10 to HDMI upscaler?

I'm buying a 32" HD LCD soon and was wondering if it is worth replacing my current Harman Kardon DVD 10 with a HDMI upscaler, either the Cambridge Audio DVD 86 or Pioneer 696.

The DVD 10 only has RGB scart, would I see a big difference in quality with a new HDMI player over the DVD 10, bearing in mind the DVD 10 is a 4yr old model?

Might sound an obvious question but needed to ask,

Thanks
