as the title suggests....

i am on the look-out for a new dvd player, which must have the following:

1) be able to play div-x files
2) component connectors
3) Be black finish (not silver)

i'm not too bothered about an up-scaler at this stage, just the above are important.

I have read (numerous times) the threads here along with reviews online etc and have got the following in mind..... (in no order)

1) Denon 1720 - can find for around £80
2) Pioneer 585 (i think) - not sure on price

any experience on using the above?? or alternative advice and suggestions??

I'm no expert but am in the process of searching for a DVD player myself (with the help of people on AVForums), but I can tell you that the Samsung DVD-HD950 gets pretty good reviews and is finished in black - available from Richer Sounds for about £100.

If you search the threads, you'll no doubt find more info, or hopefully other people will reply to what I've said with a little more detail.
