Yamada 6600 - Stopped Playing discs

Hi all, I've had my Yamada 6600 for about 13 months (WHSmith won't take it back), and it's stopped playing any disc I put in there - getting the "Disc error" message.

I've played no more than 40 DVDs on the thing, and think that I must be able to do something to get it to work.

Anyone have any ideas?

Nothing you can do mate its out of guarantee,maybe run a lens cleaner through it but in truth they rarely work.
I reckon you should bite the bullet and buy a new player possibly Pioneer DV490 about 100 quid,it will out perform old player hands down.
Repairing it will not be cost effective.
