Connecting Yam DVD-S559 to RX-V357

Hi,

I bought this DVD & AV Receiver combination as a package from Media Markt. I am having trouble trying to connect the two for Dolby5.1.

It seems that the DVD player only has coax for digital audio out, whereas the receiver has only optical for DVD sound. There is a coax input for digital sound from a CD player, but I don't think this will work for Dolby6.1

Is anybody familiar with these units? Any advice? Have I been screwed by media markt?

Plug it in to the cd socket. I can't see why it wouldn't work.
