Faulty Sony NS76H?

Hi,

I've just recieved this player and think it might be faulty. I've just got one little problem. It's connected to my Hyundai A321 via HDMI. No matter which upscale I choose, the TV always reports 576p.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

Oliver

you may want to read the NS76H thread in this forum somewhere - people are having the same problem with q321 sets which are almost identical to your a321.

This is bad news tho, I was seriuosly considering this player yet it seems it doesnt like this family of tv's from hyundai - perhaps another issue to add to the fix list....

Yeah, there's no way it's the dvd player that's at fault, it has to be an EDID or HDCP or similar issue with the A321/Q321.

Whay a nightmare!

I had a Tosh Sd360e that managed to upscale ok, but it had problems with contrast though. Hopefuly a player will come along that does work with this tv!
By the way, does your Sky HD work with the q321?

Thanks

Oliver

SkyHD doesn't work using a HDMI->DVI cable but there is a fix on the way for that. It works using component (which I suspect will look as good anyway).
