I just bought a HDMI cable to connect my Toshiba SD-350E to my Sharp LC32P50e. Everything is pretty straight forward. I change my tv channel to ext 4 which is the HDMI specific channel and then press the HDMI button on the dvd remote. When I do this I simply get a blue screen and no picture. Does anyone know what is wrong. The blue screen at least means that something is coming through because the HDMI channel is just a black screen when there is no HDMI connection.

I fact I switched the dvd player off and watched telewest for a while and then turned it back on with it already on the HDMI channel and it worked. Not sure why it didn't work the first time.
