27 Mhz versus 54mhz

Hi folks,

In relation to the Video DA Converter - is a 54mhz noticeabley better than a 27 Mhz output. Also if I have a 54mhz output should i be using a higher quality of scart cable. I currently use a gold plated fully wired cable but should i use an rgb only one?. Would the quality be better?.

I have a Sony NS900. I upgraded from an NS700. I'm happy with the player but I had to get the fix applied to sort out the av switching problem. The rgb is a little darker than svideo but i'm wondering is this due to the 54mhz output and the fact that the scart cable can carry a higer colour bandwidth?.

Thanks,
Mick

Dark pictures through RGB affect several Sony players but the improvements in picture quality are significant. Try going into the user definable settings and see if there are any colour, temperature, gamma, brightness or contrast settings. This should sort you out.
