Question Best sound only - Denon 1920 or Pioneer 585???

Hi there. I'm sure both of these players have been talked about a lot but forgive me for making this thread.

I'm going to buy a dvd player this week so I really need to know whether to spend £200 or £100.

I am interested in sound only just now. I think the Denon will sound better when playing sacd and dvd audio discs. The reason I think this is because it costs twice as much so it will presumably have better audio components and a better DAC???

Would I be wrong to think this?

I also want a good picture but sound is most important to me.

Also, what about the sound of the actual machine when it's spinning discs. Is there any noticable?

Thanks for any feedback

again

Is it true that on the Denon you can turn off the video circuitry so as to get a clearer path on the audio circuitry thus achieving a better sound on audio discs?
