The Yamaha S557 seems to be of reasonably quality. However for the last few days i've been trying out serveral brandname DivX-players to find the one which best suits my needs. One of these was the Philips DVP3010. So when I brought home the Yamaha S557, I was surprised to see the EXACT same SW as on the Philips and even the same exact remote - just black instead of silver. Even the code I got from Philips to check the SW version (General menu + 1379 ) works on the Yamaha. What the h*** is going on?!? Is it the same product, just with additional connections in the back??

Thanks.

Best Regards
Ejvind

Philips makes these for Yamaha from what I've read. Did the Philips remote work with the yammy then.
