Hi

Just a quick question and some advice - I bought a 585, just after Christmas, and now, just recently it has started skipping on some DVDs?

It seems to be mostly Region 1 discs that are effected... from what I can tell.


Has anyone else had similar problems? Is it the discs? Or do you think it's the player?

Do you think I should take it back and try swapping it for a new player?

Take it back...if there is a player that is not supposed to skip, it is the Pioneer 380/585...but, have you cleaned yor discs and are you sure it is not the layer change that you interpret as skipping?

Cleaned the discs - and it's definitely not the layer change - it's more of a stuttering - loss of sound and frozen picture..

Think I'll be taking it back! Thanks!
