Do I need an upscaling DVD player?

Do I need an upscaling DVD player?
I'm putting together my wish list for a home cinema system. I've decided on the Yammy RX V2600 as my receiver but I'm stuck for a DVD player.

Should I buy one with Upscaling on board. I assume the upscaled signal will then pass directly through the Yammy. Or should I buy a non-upscaling but good quality DVD player and let the Yammy do all the upscaling work? In either case any suggestions on the best DVD player?
