My Proline 1000 has finally given up for good . A shame really as it's done good for the last 5/6 years.

I can remeber waiting for a sub £200 player to come out before I bought into the DVD technology and this one from Comet was actually only £180 - the magazine reviewers at the time were astounded that such a cheap player could even work. Sure the machine's mechanism wasn't quiet and the remote was poorly styled but it gave a good pic and sound.

As I have now got a HDD DVDR for main viewing, the Proline had been relegated to the bedroom, so I needed a replacement. Off to ASDA then with £17.97 to buy the Durabrand.
