Hi all,
and firstly, this is my first post, so hello and greetings

I have recently purchased for my mother in law a Dual DVD860 DVD player from Asda as it advertise's the the players function of being able to play DivX files.

That it does, but not all.

Im having problems with Packed Bitstream files and have to unpack them with mpegmodifier before i burn them, which is a pain.

I have contacted www.Dual.fr for a possible firmware update and have posted here (listed as a 900 model, but is the same as the 860 on the homepage) with all the info i know inc a region hack, so if anyone else has this player u can read up on it, but my main question is if anyone can suggest a work around other than manually unpacking files b4 i burn em,,,ie unofficial firmware etc,,
