help please

Hi i have a panasonic saht330 dvd home cinema system along with a samsun le32r41 but i want to take advantage of the budget hdmi dvd players on the market. I am really worried that i wont be able to connect the hdmi player to my home theatre system. has anyone here successfully achieved this or has anyone got any advice. At the moment i have the tv and dvd connected through component cables and the picture is awesome but i guess i want perfection.. thanks in advance

btw the panasonic has a digital coax connection at the rear and no optical.
