Advice on first-time DVD player

Hey,

Since my I read about how the Xbox 360 was using HD games, I knew I would have to get a small HD TV. After settling for the Samsung LE26R41BD (which I am awaiting delivery), I have started to think about getting a small home cinema system-type-thing go on in my bedroom. I am thinking about getting the Yamaha AV57 surround system, as it has good reviews and is not too expensive, so now all I need to finish off the system is a reasonable DVD player. I will be buying this after Christmas and be looking to spend 150-200 pounds. I am not too clued up about the in's and outs of DVD players, so any help and advice on a particular model that would get the best out of my Samsung along with the Yamaha, would be great.

Thanks

Mike

try denon 1920 around £175-£250 it betters my pioneer 668 around £450-£600 dont let negative threads put you off players as every player out there would not be worth buying try demoing yourself

I've been reading through the forums and it seems to be narrowed down to the Sony NS92V or the Denon 1920. Which would you guys say is the better model?

I am using the 1920 with the Yamaha AV57 pack, it works all well for me, no complaints from me! Yamaha also do the AV77 which comes with a DVD-S557 DVD player I think, works out at about £250 for the lot, thats not a bad price for the whole lot.
