Budget players

Can anyone recommend a good, cheap DVD player to go with my relatively lame Phillips TV/VCR Combo. I am looking for a player between £100-150. Also where would be the best place to purchase from?

I have read that the Cyberhome 528 is good, but am a little put off by the noisy mechanism, is it really that bad?

Cool

Although I haven't been in the market for a player in the recent past. The last I heard LG 3350E was where the swiss banks would put their money. Recently I saw a JVC XV-S 100SL at a friends, it looks like the Lambourghini of DVD players and seemed quite nice at playback.

I think the cyberhome 528 is probably a good choice at around £100. Component out too. Can be purchased from Scan.co.uk.

Yep, the Tosh 210e is very good as well, but a multiregion mod'ed unit may go out of your desired price range.

Looks like the Cyberhome 528 can now be found at Richer Sounds for £99. Bargain.
