Now, i am not sure if it just me or not although I have been getting increasingly frustrated with the Tosh SD350 forward and rewind function during playback. It never seems to stop at the point that i release my finger, just continues about 10 seconds.... (one point it went over a minute past where i wanted it to go)

This may sound trivial, although.....


I have a big mallet in one hand at the moment, and an order for a Pioneer 380 in the other...

I have a SD350e and I do not seem to be suffering this particular problem. (although there are a few other issues)
You say that you holding the button down? Do you not press the button once for x8 then again for x20? I then press play when I get to the point I want.
I cannot remember off hand and I will confirm tonight but I don't ever have to hold the button down.
