how can I watch a DVD without TV or PC ?

Dear Forum,

for a couple of months , already, I'm trying to find a way
to watch a DVD in the best configuration possible without
a TV. Why without TV? because I'm a "TVhoolic", I spend hours in
front of it. Even now after 1 year without TV , as soon as I have a TV (in a hotel room) I just stick to it, for hours, instead of just enjoing outdoors.

So, until this spring I solved that by coupling a computer monitor to my laptop. Now the laptop DVD player is broken, and in a way I'm happy I wanted to change that, it is boring each time when you want to watch a DVD, make again all connections, to the LCD monitor , to the audio etc.

So here are my questions, do you know a not so expensive solution for a DVD
player who could talk DIRECTLY to an LCD monitor in a 1024x768 or 1200x1024 resolution (it has only an analog VGA input - Envison EN-7100e) ?

My second question, would you advise me for a bigger or better LCD (or plasma) screen WITHOUT TV, but still with good resolution ?
