DVD recording

Ok, I've finally convinced my dad to archive his massive video empire to DVD :D

Now there are DVD/VCR combos but I've never like dthe idea of combo units. They are always more prone to issues imo. So how easy ot difficult will it be to transfer from a standard VCR to DVD, is it just a smiple scart connection or do you need more?

Thanks,

Himji

If these are commercially produced videos, they will be encrypted with macrovision, which will make it impossible for them to be copied without some sort of removal technique. We're not supposed to discuss such things here, so for more information, do a Google search on "macrovision".
