Hi,

I need a new DVD player and have £500 to spend. I will be wanting to use componant out to my PW7

I am lured to the Denon 2910 because of the faroudja PQ but am scared by all the talk of macrobrocking, just how bad is it and how likely am I to suffer with it?

Should I look elsewhere to spend my £500?

I am using a PW7 panel with DVD via componant.

Please help if possible.

The 2910 looks great on the PW series for sure.

However, are you looking to the future? Do you really have to spend 500 quid?

I've found that a Limit 900 SE from play at 49.99 or the Pioneer 575 gives about the same picture quality via component.

Sure, they sound slightly less impressive - but let me assure you, they are not 1/10th of the player as the price would suggest!
