Does anyone know of a decent DVD recorder that can handle playback well, can perform in audio and deal with SACDs too?? And all this for around £400????

The Denon 2910 is a fantastic player but it isn't a recorder.

For DVD Recorder buying advice have a look at the 'Which DVD Recorder?' link in my signature. Even better come to the right forum

To answer your question though you should beware that there are currently no DVD recorders that play SACD discs - several offer DVD-Audio. Sony, Panasonic and Toshiba recorders all offer decent DVD playback - although their is no substitute for a decent standalone DVD player IMHO.
