pioneer DV575A default output

I've got a feeling this is a simple fix but for the life of me I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.

Setup is Pioneer DV575A connected via fully wired scart to Select 320+ CRT projector

When I powerup the DVD player the projector switches to the S-Video signal via the scart and I have to manually change it to the RGB input (via scart).

Being a geek I'd prefer this to happen automatically.
I'm guessing that the player is sending signal to the Seleco telling it to go to s-video.

How can I change this so that the player defaults to the RGB output ?

Check what you have set for "AV connector Out", as listed on page 35 of the Operating Instructions, in the Video Output settings. Sounds like you have S-Video selected.

I have a similar(?) problem with my 575.
I cannot select RGB SCART (only video and S) with component (i) selected.
So I can't use RGB SCART and component at the same time.

Do you have component selected?

Did anyone work a way round this?

I have tried to force component out and it wont let me highlight it.

Is there a quick fix?

Got the exact same problem;

Just got a new Pioneer 575 and a Hitachi Plasma

However, I cannot get the Pioneer to output a component/progressive scan signal to the Plasma - the option is greyed out

When I connect an older Limit 9000, component and progressive are there and work perfectly.

Any ideas about the Pioneer??

Make sure the scart output isn't set to RGB, I think. Scart out = Video then you should be able to select component out and select progressive scan, from memory, I may be wrong, I have slept since last using one of these......

Brock, i know what your saying, its easy when your doing setups but after a few days it all goes.................

There is a fix, i think its as simple as holding the power button down, well along those lines.

Yep - that was they way it worked for me

I connected it by both component and scart leads.

I then went into the initial settings menu and i had the av out as RGB.

I changed that to video and the component option became available, allowing me to highlight progressive

try both leads at the same time - worth a shot

You can not use progressive and RGB at the same time.
You need to either change RGB to S-Vid or Video to use progressive, or change progressive to interlaced to use RGB.

It's all in the manual.
