Pioneer 575 / 676 - help with Audio Set up.

I got a new Pioneer DV-676A player (supports DVD-A, SAVCD, DIVX)
I think this is equivalent to the 575A in Europe/USA.

I connect the digital audio out from the Pioneer player to a Yamaha AV Receiver(RX-V795) via a Co-axial connection.

Can someone please help me with the Audio output settings on the Pioneer.

Should the Dolby Digital Out be -> Dolby Digital or >PCM ?

Should Linear PCM out be down sample on or off ?

Should MPEG out be PCM ?

Just to clarify the only audio out I have from the Pioneer is digital co-axial to a Yamaha amp.

I’ve tested Dolby Digital and it works fine on my 5:1 set up.

I bought this new pioneer partly because I use it as my main CD player and want to ensure the *best* quality CD playback in this set up

Would I get better CD playback if I connected the left / right speaker settings individually to the Yamaha amp rather than via the digial co-axial ?

Thanks in advance.

I use a 575 and yamaha amp and my 575 was left on default settings. If you are concerned I will look at my menu to compare, but as I said default settings work great on my gear.
